Cookie policy
Last updated: 4 August 2025. This page explains what cookies are, which ones we use, and how you can manage them.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember preferences and, where allowed, understand how pages are used.
How we use cookies
We use essential cookies required for basic site operation (including remembering your cookie preference) and optional analytics cookies that help us see which pages are visited. Analytics cookies load only if you choose Accept on the banner.
Cookies table
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| westmere_fp_cookie_consent | Stores your Accept or Reject choice for cookies | Until cleared (localStorage) | Westmere Financial Planning |
| _wf_session | Maintains basic session integrity for form submissions | Session | Westmere Financial Planning |
| _wf_analytics | Aggregated page-view counts when analytics are accepted | 13 months | Westmere Financial Planning |
Managing or disabling cookies
Use the banner on your first visit to Accept or Reject optional cookies. Rejecting does not block browsing, contact forms, or reading consultations. You can also clear site data in your browser settings, which removes the stored preference and may show the banner again.
Third-party cookies
Embedded fonts may be requested from Google Fonts; that request can expose your IP address to Google. We do not embed third-party advertising trackers. If we add a third-party analytics tool later, this table will be updated before it runs.
Impact of disabling
Disabling essential storage may mean we cannot remember your cookie choice. Disabling analytics simply means we receive less information about which pages are useful. Site content and enquiry forms remain available.
