How we advise

A consultation rhythm built for careful decisions

UK financial advice works best when paperwork arrives before opinions. This page walks through what happens between your first email and the written plan.

Before the meeting

We send a short checklist: pension statements, ISA valuations, recent P60s if available, and a note of monthly essentials versus discretionary spending. Incomplete packs are common; we will still meet, but recommendations may wait until missing statements arrive.

In the room

Meetings run sixty to ninety minutes. We work through goals first — leave date, travel plans, supporting adult children — then open the numbers. You should leave knowing which questions remain open, not only which products exist in the market.

The five-stage path

  1. Complimentary discovery call — confirm whether we are the right fit and estimate the fee.
  2. Document gathering — secure transfer of statements and a spending outline.
  3. Advisory meeting — office in Bruen Bridge or video across the UK.
  4. Written plan or review summary — delivered within the timeline quoted for your consultation.
  5. Follow-up call — walk through recommendations and agree who does what next.

What we will not do in a first meeting

We will not pressure you to transfer a pension on the spot, invent urgency around a fund launch, or quote ongoing product charges as if they were our advice fee. If a transfer or new wrapper is suitable, it appears in the written plan with reasons and risks.

If this rhythm matches how you like to decide, browse consultations or send a short note about your situation.
